As noted in Onboarding Basics, we’ve learned that onboarding a new employee consists of multiple stages. First you must pre-board them (essentially prepare for their arrival) then you make their first day a kick-butt kind of first day. The next stage of the onboarding process is the 30-day check-in.
Here are few steps and tips to make sure you’re getting the most out of your 30-day check-in.
Why is a 30-Day Check-In is Important?
Checking in with your new hire is crucial in their onboarding experience. It allows them to be heard and for you to gain insights on where they’re at and how they’re liking their new position. Use their 30-day check-in to give and get feedback. They want it and you should too.
