Flashback Friday: Year-End Workplace Party Themes

November 20, 2015

We’re just a mere 35 days away from Christmas! Whoa! While we all want to give Halloween and Thanksgiving their appropriate time in the spotlight, I imagine your year-end event planning is already making its way to the top off your to-do list.

If you're anything like me, nailing down a theme for the event is the hardest part; what's going to be fun, engaging, and fairly easy to pull off? Once you set the theme, filling in the details to flow with the event gets a little easier. So, what are the best themes for year-end recognition events or year-end holiday parties? I'll show you how Baudville's past events have come together in this Flashback Friday post and you can decide if one of these tried-and-true successful themes might work for your company's year-end party!Baudville's Big Deal: Deal or No Deal Theme

Engaging the attendees with a popular game show theme makes the event fun and interactive! We went with a simple black, white, and red theme and played Deal or No Deal as groups at the event. Lots of laughs were had, healthy competition rallied teams around a unified goal (winning!), and exceptional awards were presented.

80s Theme Year-End Party

With neon making its fashion comeback, dressing the part at an 80s-inspired year-event is a breeze! As we celebrated in 1980s fashion, table centerpieces featured fingerless gloves, glow sticks, and neon glasses. Our entertainment was a comedian, adding to the laughs, and each table was named for a famous 1980s movie! Like, totally rad!

Roaring 20s Theme Year-End Party

Our 1920s-themed event started off with an invitation aboard "The Orient Express" (a make believe train) where a surprise murder mystery had to be solved! While the murder mystery actors acted out the plot, we enjoyed dinner, laughter, and entertainment. Party attendees dressed in 1920s garb (not required) and enjoyed a fun-filled, mystery-solving evening celebrating together!
