Thanksgiving is this week, and that’s a perfect opportunity to give a little extra thanks to those around you! Whether it’s your co-worker, family member, or the cashier at the grocery store – Be sure to spread gratefulness to those who make differences in your life (big or small) and give them a reason to smile this season! Below are 5 quick ways to give thanks this week and on!
Deliver a note. Whether it is handwritten on a beautiful card, or epraise electronically sent to their inbox, take the extra few minutes to show your appreciation. I love these matchbox notes or pocket praise cards – easy-peasy for on the spot recognition!
Pay it forward with a kind act. Thank your team by baking a batch of fresh cookies, shovel your neighbor’s driveway, or give a heartfelt hug. Among many other ways to be kind and give thanks, these are just a few small gestures that make a big impact.
Give a helping hand. What a busy season we’re in! Work tends to pick up around this time, there are plenty of parties to plan and attend, all while trying to balance those school concerts and winter festivities around the holidays. Sometimes all it takes is to step away from our busy-ness and into someone else’s busy to reward them and feel rewarded. It’s a win/win. They’ll appreciate it and you’ll be making a difference!
Start a gratitude journal. This is on more of a personal note, but often we forget how much we have to be thankful for! We’ve got lots of great journals to help you start brainstorming your gratefulness. This could help you decide where to pour your thanksgiving into and is a great personal reminder!
Take someone out to lunch. Sometimes one-on-one conversation gets quick and far-and-few-between. Carve out some time for someone who makes a difference in your life and take that quality time to thank them for all that they do!
Hopefully you’re feeling inspired to give thanks this season! We wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving from Baudville!
