5 Ways to Celebrate Customer Service Week, October 7-11, 2013!

September 13, 2013

Customer Service Week is October 7-11, 2013. For those of us who work for a company with a customer service team, we know how integral they are to our success. This team is the front line of our organization, the face of our company. In a day and age where many of us serve up a product in the competitive landscape that we do, it's our customer service that makes us stand out.

{C}Customer Service Week is a great time to send your sincere message of thanks and gratitude to the people who work hard every day to make a difference in the success of your company! Here are 5 excellent ideas for celebrating Customer Service Week 2013!

1. Customer Service Spirit Week!
Celebrate each day like you were back in high school again – wacky hair day, school spirit day, backwards day, decades day, and color day (dress head-to-toe in one color). Even if your customer service team is serving customers face-to-face, these silly days open the door for conversations about how your organization appreciates and celebrates its employees –
a win for everyone if you ask me!

2. You Rock!
It's a popular sentiment and applies to so many of the things our customer service reps do for us on a daily basis. Daily gifts and giveaways could include
Rock Candy, Value Tumbler, Rock Climbing Experience at a local facility, or 2 tickets to a popular rock concert or Stub Hub. Set up a Guitar Hero station in your break room and rock out together all week long or host a You Rock Tournament!

3. Game On!
There's something about a little friendly competition that increases engagement levels and cultivates peer-to-peer camaraderie. Each day during Customer Service Week, give your team members time to play some good old fashioned board games! Create teams or just let them have at it! Have
Tokens of Appreciation on-hand for the winners and at the end of the week, let them cash in their stash for some stellar prizes!

4. A Shore Winner!
Check out our popular
Starfish: Making a Difference Theme for your Customer Service Week. Celebrate with gifts and words of sincere appreciation. Our favorite Starfish gifts include key chains, travel mugs, lapel pins, and desktop gift sets.

5. Oh, What a Week!
Merry Monday, Terrific Tuesday, Wacky Wednesday, Thirsty Thursday, and Fantastic Friday set the tone for each day's gifts and prizes. Our Gratitude with Attitude theme will help you find the perfect gifts for the occasion! Click on each day to see and order our suggested gifts.

Whatever you do to celebrate
Customer Service Week October 7-11 this year, make sure you do it with sincerity and include every member of your team. A hand-written note from their manager to cap off the week's events will put a bow on the company's appreciation. Have fun and let us know how it goes!
