Here at Baudville, we love recognition. Not only recognition, but peer-to-peer recognition has a special place in our hearts, too. (That goes without saying... but I'll say it anyways!) This month's peer-to-peer spotlight comes from Dan Rogers, one of the head honchos of our sister company, IDville, who decided to recognize our internal newsletter team with a thoughtful e-mail:
What did they do to receive the recognition?
The Baudville “the Point” newsletter team published their first edition of the new newsletter and after reading it, decided that they needed to be recognized for taking it up, not one notch, but many with the newest version of an old staple here at Baudville.
What did you do to recognize them?
I sent an All-Staff Email Shout Out to the entire company praising the team for the amazing design, content and effort.
How did you determine what you were going to do for them?
I just knew I wanted to do something right then and I wanted to make sure everyone knew what an awesome job they did… I also did not want to wait for the next All-Staff meeting, so I sent an email.
When did recognize them (time span after event)?
Moments after reading the first edition. Taking time to do this really made a difference to the team. I immediately got 3-4 responses from newsletter team members thanking me for the acknowledgement.
Awesome! Recognition comes in all shapes and sizes, but it surely doesn't go unnoticed. Check out our resource center below for recognition ideas big and small to see how you can boost morale and show your appreciation around the workplace.
