Kimberly's Kitchen: It's Time to Celebrate

April 28, 2014

As you may or may not know, May is a month filled with recognition opportunities! There are so many reasons to celebrate, such as Cinco de Mayo (stay tuned for my upcoming post on that), Teacher Appreciation Week with National Teacher Day, National Nurses Day and Week, Mother's Day, and Memorial Day, just to name a few!

See our complete Recognition calendar in our Recognition Resource Center so you don't miss any of these moments to say thank you.

Take one or all of these events to bring some yummy baked goodies to your child's teacher to say thank you for all they do throughout the year, to your local hospital for all those awesome people saving lives, or even to your mother's day brunch!

One of my favorite go-to treats are Magic Cookie Bars. They are honestly one of the easiest and most delicious desserts to put together and they feed a good amount of people. So if you can take some time this May to try something new to share, these are a must!!

I do have a couple recipe tips that are essential…the recipe calls for 2 cups of semi-sweet chips. I have to say that you MUST try it with 1 cup semi-sweet and 1 cup butterscotch chips instead (these take it to a whole new level)! Also, pre-mix all of the toppings in a bowl together first before putting them on, instead of layering them.
